They say desperation is the mother of invention.
This was ours.
After moving from Florida to Pennsylvania, we were excited to begin a new chapter. What we didn’t expect was what came with it—stray cats appearing at our door, one by one.
We’ve always loved animals. But before long, that love turned into something more. We became neighborhood cat rescuers.What started as putting out food turned into caring for strays, rescuing kittens, and finding them safe, loving homes.
It became a mission—one driven by compassion, patience, and a deep sense of responsibility.But with that mission came a reality we hadn’t anticipated.
At the same time, working as a nurse reinforced something important:
clean systems matter.
After a long busy overnight shift, I walked through the door exhausted—only to be hit with litter box chaos. Standing there, I knew something had to change. No more.
